In the classroom
Short, focused practice you can use as a starter, in a small group or at a choosing table.
Whole class on the whiteboard
Activities fill the screen, with big answers that are easy to tap at the board, and questions read aloud for everyone.
Small groups on tablets
Children play side by side with an adult. Each activity ends with a question to talk about together.
Linked to your planning
Every activity names the Early Learning Goal, National Curriculum statement or ready-to-progress criterion it practises.

The website (not the activities) also sends cookie-free visit counts to Cloudflare at static.cloudflareinsights.com and cloudflareinsights.com. Blocking them changes nothing for your users. Nothing else is loaded from anywhere: no fonts, adverts or tracking.
For data protection leads
Data and privacy
NimbleTots is built so there is nothing to protect: no accounts and no personal data about pupils.

- None. Children and staff just open an activity.
- Personal data
- None is asked for or collected: no names, emails or pupil details.
- Results
- Kept in the browser on that device only, and cleared with Start fresh.
- Cookies
- None in the activities, so there is nothing to agree to.
- Spoken questions
- Recorded clips served from
play.nimbletots.co.uk. Nothing a child says or does is sent to a speech service. - Visitor statistics
- The website counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify anyone. The activities count nothing.

Devices
Works on what you already have
Any browser released in the last two years: Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox. JavaScript on, sound on.
- iPads and Android tablets
- Chromebooks, Windows laptops and Macs
- Interactive whiteboards
- Once a device has opened an activity, it keeps working if the Wi-Fi drops. Filters that block service workers stop the offline copy, but everything still works online.
- It can be added to a tablet’s home screen, where it opens like an app.
Security
Locked down by default
- A strict Content Security Policy, and HSTS on every page
- The camera, microphone and location are blocked
- The activities can’t be embedded in other websites
- Results never leave the device they were played on
