In short
- We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, here and in the activities.
- Every question is read aloud, and can be heard again.
- Settings for high contrast, less motion and voice speed.
This website
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. You should be able to:
- zoom to 400% without text spilling off the screen;
- use every page with a keyboard, switch or screen reader;
- read text that meets AA colour contrast;
- turn off animation with your device’s reduced motion setting.
In the activities
- Questions are spoken, so children don’t need to read. Answers wait until the question has finished.
- Buttons are at least 64 pixels across, for small fingers.
- A high-contrast picture setting supports children with cerebral visual impairment (CVI).
- Grown-ups can slow the voice, give longer to look in quick-look activities, and set a break reminder.
Known limits
While a question is being read, the answer buttons are faded and can’t be pressed yet. During that moment their faded colours fall below AA contrast. [Fix planned for date.]
Tell us about a problem
If something doesn’t work for you or your child, email hello@nimbletots.co.uk or use the contact form. We aim to reply within [X working days].
How we tested
[Date and method, for example automated checks on every page and activity, plus manual testing with VoiceOver, TalkBack and a keyboard.]
